With the hand held data collector, it makes doing inventory a snap. It is very easy to track and maintain inventory, sales, layaways, consignments and vendors. I really appreciate the extensiveness of the reports availability. I am able to put complete store statistics, customer demographics, employee and store profitability and transaction summaries over any time period. With a few keystrokes I can determine my loan balance, how much money I have in inventory and buys, and my cost of goods sold. I also appreciate the multi-level and employee password protection as well as being able to track individual employee cash drawers. "I've been a happy Data Age customer since 1991. The experience I had with a software company in the rent to own business made me really appreciate the guys at Data Age. I co-own 5 pawn shops and Pawnmaster is the only software that we use. We feel the staff at Data Age really listen when we request an enhancement. Even though they are computer oriented, they understand the day to day workings of a pawn shop and are forever tweaking the software to make our lives easier. We have been very happy with their DOS version but we are now converting to the Windows version. The Windows version is the crowning achievement of years of development and experience in the pawn industry. After a brief training session, our co-workers were off and running. Much effort was taken to reduce keystrokes with license scanning and pull down item description fields. The elimination of all impact printers is nice. The laser printers are quiet and fast. I am currently converting all of my stores. We buy all of our hardware from Data Age as well. When we upgraded our last store everything came in labeled all the way down to the cables. They made it very easy for us. Everything was programmed and tested before we received it. It's really nice when everything works the way it is supposed to. We also like the one call support that comes with a turn key package. At our stores we focus on loaning out a bunch of money and making people happy.
